Kalin Tchonev founded Varna International Publications in 2015 as a new venture of his company, Varna International.  Born in Varna, Bulgaria, to an internationally accomplished conductor, Tchonev acquired his passion for literature and the arts at an early age. After graduating from high school in piano performance and music theory, Kalin obtained a Bachelor's and Master's of Music at the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. Tchonev continued his studies in the United States where he received two additional Master's degrees in Choral Conducting and Piano Performance from the School of Music at the University of South Carolina.

 

Apart from his new role as a publisher, Tchonev has extensive choral singing and conducting experience.  He skillfully combines music management, international tours, and festival organization to meet the needs of professional musicians and music lovers from around the world.

 

Kalin is married to Sharon and they have a young son, Eliav.  Kalin and Sharon work together as a team to develop, perfect, and deliver unforgettable musical and cultural experiences to an international clientele.
